CALL TO ORDER, SALUTE TO THE FLAG, SILENT PRAYER AND ROLL CALL
This Emergency Meeting was called pursuant to the provisions of the Open Public Meetings Law. Notices of this meeting were sent to the Home News Tribune on Friday, January 17, 2014. In addition, copies of notices were posted on the bulletin board in the Municipal Building and filed in the office of the Municipal Clerk on aforementioned date. Notices on the bulletin board have remained continuously posted.
Proper notice having been given, the Municipal Clerk is directed to include this statement in the minutes of this meeting.
Minutes of this meeting should also reflect the purpose for which the meeting was called.
EMERGENCY MEETING RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, this emergency meeting has been called for the following purpose: Protecting the safety, health and welfare of the Residents and/or pending or anticipated litigation to the extent that confidentiality is required; and
WHEREAS, the normal requirements of the law regarding 48 hours notice have not been met due to lack of time and subject matter, however notices of this Emergency Meeting were emailed to the Home News Tribune; and at 4:40 PM on Friday January 17, 2014 an email was sent with notice attached.
1. Protecting the safety, health and welfare of the Residents of the Borough of Spotswood
2. Subject could not be addressed in a timely manner without the meeting
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that there should be a vote on this Emergency Meeting of 3/4ths of the members of the Governing Body.
