ORDINANCE 2008-01
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING THE SALARY ORDINANCE OF THE BOROUGH OF SPOTSWOOD ENTITLED "AN AMENDMENT TO AN ORDINANCE FIXING AND ESTABLISHING THE SALARIES AND WAGES OF CERTAIN EMPLOYEES OF THE BOROUGH OF SPOTSWOOD, COUNTY OF MIDDLESEX, STATE OF NEW JERSEY."

2008-9 Borough Council accepts a $500,000 County Board of Chosen Freeholders grant for open space to purchase playground equipment, installation and improvements to Mundy Avenue Park and another open space grant in the amount of $43,584.00 for bicycle/pedestrian improvements.
2008-10 Borough Council authorize Barry H. Zagnit to sign any and all permits and applications with the State of New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection.
2008-11 Business Administrator, Ronald Fasanello be designated as the Borough of Spotswood's Public Agency Compliance Officer.
2008-12 Borough Council ratify the appointment of Seth Kurs of the firm of Shamy, Shipers & Lonski, P.C. as Alternate Municipal Prosecutor for a term to expire 12/31/08.
2008-13 Borough Council authorize the appropriate officials to enter into a contract with Gerard Stankiewicz of the firm of Samuel Klein & Company for the purpose of municipal auditing services for the year 2008.
2008-14 Resolution canceling unexpended 2007 budget appropriations.
2008-15 Borough Council authorize the Tax Collector to refund $250.00 Veteran Deduction to Veterans for property known as Bl. 1.86, Lot 3 and Bl. 9.1, lot 10 as granted by the Borough Tax Assessor.
2008-16 Borough Council authorize the Tax Collector to refund $250.00 for a Senior Citizen Deduction for property known as Bl. 110.20, Lot 5 as granted by the Borough Tax Assessor.
2008-17 Borough Council authorize the Tax Collector to grant a totally disabled Veteran exemption for property known as Bl. 9.3, lot 1.2 as granted by the Borough Tax Assessor based on information provided by the Department of Veterans Affairs.
2008-18 Borough Council authorize the Tax Collector to grant a totally disabled Veteran exemption for property known as Bl. 71, lot 11 as granted by the Borough Tax Assessor based on information provided by the Department of Veterans Affairs.
2008-19 Borough Council authorize Tax Collector to refund $1,414.94 tax over payment due to Totally Disabled Veteran Declaration as of July 2007 for property known as Bl. 9.3, lot 1.2.
2008-20 Borough Council authorize Tax Collector to refund $7,909.82 tax over payment due to Totally Disabled Veteran Declaration as of November 2007 for property known as Bl. 71, lot 11.

2008-21 Borough Council authorize the Municipal Clerk to issue 2008 wrecker licenses.
2008-22 Borough Council authorize the Municipal Clerk to issue a temporary 2008 junkyard license to Perry & Fernando Giancola, to expire on April 30, 2008 with the stipulation that the owners install the appropriate fence at the premises known as Bl. 17, lot 20 and Bl,. 21, lot 1 by said date.
2008-23 Final close out change order request of DeFino Contracting Co., Inc. is recommended by CME Associates in the amount of $17,538.36 subject to the contractor submitting a one year maintenance bond in the amount of $49,078.07 for the improvements to Madie Avenue.
2008-24 Authorize the appropriate officials to make purchases from FY 2005 State Budget Treasury Grant and 2004 MCIA Lease Agreement for Emergency Services.
2008-25 Reduction of performance bond for Talavera Site Plan & Variance Application for property known as Bl. 90.01, lot 6 as recommended by CME Associates with a stipulation that all payment of outstanding engineering inspection fees and any other fees to the borough and also with a minimum of ten percent of bond in the form of cash as required by Borough Ordinance.
