ORDINANCE 2006-12

AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 82 OF THE CODE OF THE BOROUGH OF SPOTSWOOD BY AMENDING AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING CERTAIN SEX OFFENDERS FROM LIVING OR RESIDING IN PROXIMITY TO AREAS IN WHICH CHILDREN REGULARLY MEET AND CONGREGATE.

ORDINANCE 2006-13

AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE BOROUGH OF SPOTSWOOD, CHAPTER 199 ENTITLED “VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC” BY AMENDING SUBSECTION 199-24, “TRAFFIC REGULATIONS APPLICABLE TO PRIVATE PROPERTY OPEN TO THE PUBLIC” AND SCHEDULE X ENTITLED “RESTRICTED AREAS IN PUBLIC YARDS AND PARKING PLACES” THEREOF.

2006-57

Borough Council authorizes the Chief of Police to hire Rene A. Callahan as a substitute crossing guard.

2006-58
       

Borough Council authorize CME Associates to perform professional engineering services in connection with the preparation of plans and specs, bid phase services & construction administration for 2006 Road Improvements not to exceed $50,000.

2006-59        

Mayor and Borough Council fully support and urge swift and favorable action on A-1425 regarding amendments to the CAP law. 

2006-60

Mayor and Borough Council support the N.J.L.M.’s position on binding arbitration statute to amend the Police and Fire Interest Arbitration Act to limit binding arbitration awards for all economic issues combined to an amount on a department basis that does not exceed the annual CAP Law limitations.

2006-61        

Borough Council authorizes Tax Collector to refund $52.03 over payment for water/sewer charges for property known as 144 Brunswick Avenue due to a duplicate payment.

2006-62        

Mayor and Council and all the citizens of the community extend appreciation and gratitude to Patrolman John S. Pfeiffer for his heroic action and dedication to the residents of the Borough and the Borough Police Department.

2006-63

Borough Council authorizes the release of cash performance bond to Dimitrakis General Contracting per engineer’s inspections of project and find it complete.

2006-64        

Borough Council authorizes the execution of an Interlocal Agreement between the Borough and Middlesex County for the purpose of Pectometry Aerial Imagery equipment.

2006-65

Borough Council authorize the release of performance bond to Zimast Builders LLC regarding subdivision known as Brookview Farms per engineers inspections of project and find it complete.

2006-66

Voluntary participation in a cooperative pricing council system with Township of Piscataway to act as the Lead Agency for a five year period for the purpose of purchasing biodegradable leaf bags.

American Legion request to expand their Plenary Retail Consumption Liquor License to the pavilion in the back of premises.  A public hearing will be held on May 15, 2006 with any objections by Superintendent of School, Monsignor Curry of ICC, Drug Alliance Commission and Chief of Police.
