ORDINANCE 11-2009
ORDINANCE CANCELING APPROPRIATIONS IN THE AMOUNT OF $100,000 FROM PREVIOUSLY ADOPTED BOND ORDINANCES AND DETERMINING THAT SAID APPROPRIATIONS, INCLUDING BOND PROCEEDS, ARE NO LONGER NEEDED FOR THE PURPOSES SET FORTH IN SAID ORDINANCE AND TRANSFERRING SAID AMOUNT TO THE CAPITAL SURPLUS FUND AND APPROPRIATING $100,000 FROM THE CAPITAL SURPLUS FUND OF THE BOROUGH FOR THE COST FOR THE IMPROVEMENTS HEREIN AUTHORIZED TO BE UNDERTAKEN IN AND BY THE BOROUGH OF SPOTSWOOD, IN THE COUNTY OF MIDDLESEX, NEW JERSEY.

ORDINANCE TO ACCEPT DEEDS OF REALTY AS GIFTS FOR CERTAIN PROPERTIES IDENTIFIED ON THE TAX MAP OF THE BOROUGH OF SPOTSWOOD, COUNTY OF MIDDLESEX, STATE OF NEW JERSEY AS FOLLOWS: BLOCK 62, LOT 12 OWNED BY JOHN M. DEL COLLE, DOLORES HOFFMAN, MARIE D. NARDINO AND SANDRA L. SLOCOMBE, BLOCK 62, LOTS 2, 15, 16 AND 17 AND BLOCK 63, LOT 2 OWNED BY MARGARET INGLESE, THE WIDOW OF THE LATE SAMUEL C. INGLESE.

2009-105 Borough Council select Council President.
2009-106 Borough Council authorize Borough Treasurer to invest public funds of the Borough in any insured Association or Federal Association up to the amount for which such accounts are insured, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A: 5-7 and 5-7.3.
2009-107 Tax Collector authorized to assess a 5% percent penalty to any taxpayer with a delinquency of all taxes, water/sewer and municipal charges due in the excess of $10,000 who fails to pay the delinquency prior to the end of the calendar year.
2009-108 Tax Collector empowered to allow ten day grace period for payment of municipal taxes and assessments without imposition of any interest charges in compliance with N.J. Statutes and authorized to charge 8% per annum interest up to $1500 and 18% per annum over $2500 per N.J.S.A. 54:4-67.
2009-109 Tax Collector empowered to allow a 33 day grace period from billing date on all utility bills and authorized to charge 8% per annum interest up to $2500 and 18% per annum over $2500 on all delinquent utility bills.
2009-110 Borough Council reappoint Dawn McDonald as Part-Time Deputy Clerk for a term from July 1, 2009 thru June 30, 2010.
2009-111 Borough Council designate the Home News Tribune as a daily publication circulated in the Municipality and the Sentinel a weekly publication as the “Official Newspapers” of the Borough to inform the people within the public body’s jurisdiction of the meetings.
2009-112 Borough Council authorize the Mayor and Borough Clerk to execute an Interlocal Agreement for the provision of Yard Waste Recycling and Marketing Services between the Middlesex County Improvement Authority and the Borough of Spotswood.
2009-113 Borough Council authorize the Municipal Clerk to issue renewal ABC license to Shree Umijaji LLC/Wine Outlet as tax clearance certificate was received in my office June 19, 2009 and an Ad Interim License has been applied for from the State of NJ ABC so that the business can remain open until adoption of said resolution.
2009-114 CFO authorized to release $500 cash bond to ICC for holding the 2009 carnival.
2009-115 CFO authorized to refund recreation arts & crafts application in the amount of $40.00 to participant due to inability to attend the program.
2009-116 CFO authorized to refund over payment for water/sewer charges for property located at 159 DeVoe Ave.
2009-117 Payment of Bills.
