RESOLUTIONS – UNDER CONSENT AGENDA

2010-073 Council President is hereby authorized to appoint whatever special committee he deems necessary for the effective administrative and legislative functions of government of the Borough of Spotswood.
2010-074 Borough Council authorize Borough Treasurer to invest public funds of the Borough in any insured Association or Federal Association up to the amount for which such accounts are insured, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A: 5-7 and 5-7.3.
2010-075 Tax Collector authorized to assess a 6% percent penalty to any taxpayer with a delinquency of all taxes, water/sewer and municipal charges due in the excess of $10,000 who fails to pay the delinquency prior to the end of the calendar year.
2010-076 Tax Collector empowered to allow ten day grace period for payment of municipal taxes and assessments without imposition of any interest charges in compliance with N.J. Statutes and authorized to charge 8% per annum interest up to $1500 and 18% per annum over $2500 per N.J.S.A. 54:4-67.
2010-077 Tax Collector empowered to allow a 33 day grace period from billing date on all utility bills and authorized to charge 8% per annum interest up to $2500 and 18% per annum over $2500 on all delinquent utility bills.
2010-078 Borough Council designate the Home News Tribune as a daily publication circulated in the Municipality and the Sentinel a weekly publication as the “Official Newspapers” of the Borough to inform the people within the public body’s jurisdiction of the meetings.
2010-079 Borough Council authorize the CFO to refund the cash bond in the amount of $500.00 to the Church of the Immaculate Conception for operating the carnival.
2010-080 Borough Council authorize the appropriate officials to renew interlocal agreement with Middlesex County for storage of records at the County’s Division of Archives and Records Management Center.
2010-081 The Governing Body is hereby authorized and directed to execute an Indemnity and Trust Agreement signifying continued membership with Middlesex County Municipal Joint Insurance Fund for workers comp and employer’s liability, general liability coverage, motor vehicle and equipment liability and property damage.
2010-082 Borough Council authorized the CFO to release the Police Outside Services escrow in the amount of $10,000 to JF Kiely Construction Company.
2010-083 Borough Council authorized Tax Collector to cancel outstanding balances under $5.00.
2010-084 Borough Council authorize CME Associates to perform professional engineering services for water main loop between Vliet Street and Charles Street for an amount not to exceed $21,018.00.
2010-085 Release of Shrager performance bond and waive of maintenance bond.
2010-087 Award of 2010 Roadway Improvements Contract.
