BOND ORDINANCE AMENDING IN ITS ENTIRETY BOND ORDINANCE NO. 2005-04 ADOPTED MARCH 7, 2005 ENTITLED: "BOND ORDINANCE AMENDING IN ITS ENTIRETY BOND ORDINANCE NO. 2004-05 ADOPTED APRIL 19, 2004 ENTITLED "BOND ORDINANCE AMENDING IN ITS ENTIRETY BOND ORDINANCE NO. 2003-14 ADOPTED SEPTEMBER 22, 2003 ENTITLED: "BOND ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR VLIET STREET, ROAD, CURB AND SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENTS IN THE BOROUGH OF SPOTSWOOD, APPROPRIATING $180,000 THEREFORE AND AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF $50,000 OF BONDS AND NOTES OF THE BOROUGH FOR FINANCING PART OF THE COST FOR SAID IMPROVEMENT AUTHORIZED TO BE UNDERTAKEN IN AND BY THE BOROUGH OF SPOTSWOOD, IN THE COUNTY OF MIDDLESEX, NEW JERSEY, TO INCREASE THE APPROPRIATION TO $293,000 TO INCREASE THE AUTHORIZED BOND AND NOTES TO $157,000, TO AMEND THE PROJECT DESCRIPTION AND TO MAKE SUCH OTHER AND CONFORMING CHANGES AS NECESSARY AND PROPER FOR SAID IMPROVEMENT AUTHORIZED TO BE UNDERTAKEN IN AND BY THE BOROUGH OF SPOTSWOOD, IN THE COUNTY OF MIDDLESEX, NEW JERSEY, TO INCREASE THE APPROPRIATION TO $860,000 TO INCREASE THE AUTHORIZED BOND AND NOTES TO $415,000, AND TO MAKE SUCH OTHER AND CONFORMING CHANGES AS NECESSARY AND PROPER: TO INCREASE THE APPROPRIATION TO $1,020,000, TO INCREASE THE AUTHORIZED BOND AND NOTES TO $569,000, AND TO MAKE SUCH OTHER AND CONFORMING CHANGES AS NECESSARY AND PROPER.

AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 117 OF THE CODE OF THE BOROUGH OF SPOTSWOOD, ENTITLED "JUNKYARDS" BY AMENDING CHAPTER 117, SECTION 6D, GENERAL PLOT PLAN REQUIREMENTS AND 117-8A CRITERIA FOR ISSUANCE OF LICENSE AND RENEWAL.

2006-117 Borough Council have received and have familiarized themselves with the requirements of the Local Finance Board of the State of New Jersey regarding the 2005 Municipal Audit, and have subscribed to the affidavit as provided by the Local Finance Board.
2006-118 Borough Council authorize the appropriate officials to execute funding agreement with the New Jersey Department of the Treasury, Division of Administration for the Fiscal Year 2007 State budget with an award of $25,000 grant for capital improvements.
2006-119 Mayor and Borough Council urge passage of Senate Bill No. 883, which would authorize the election of school board members at November general election and permits certain school districts to determine budgets without referendum.
2006-120 Mayor and Borough Council urge the repeal of S-1701, which would produce higher costs in some communities regarding property tax hikes and does not help students or property taxpayers and support Assembly Bill A-3680, which would give school districts some degree of relief in developing budgets.
2006-121 Professional service resolution for Gary Schwartz, Borough Attorney to defend the borough in matter of citizen complaints against the Kabaret on appeal from a judgment of the Spotswood Municipal Court.
2006-122 Resolution in support of New Jersey Legislative Bills S-1199 and A-2589 regarding the "Tree Expert Act" which attempts to register and license anyone entering into the business of pruning, repairing, maintaining or removing trees, brush cutting and stump grinding, consistent with classification code 0106 of the New Jersey Worker's Compensation and Employers' Liability Insurance Manual.
2006-123 Borough Council authorize the appropriate officials of the Borough to execute the Information & Assistance grant and Caregiver Support Program grant from the Middlesex County Office on Aging.
2006-124 Borough Council authorize the appropriate officials of the Borough to execute the operation of Safe Housing and Transportation grant for Residential Maintenance Services for senior citizens from the Middlesex County Office on Aging.
2006-125 Borough Council authorize the CFO to pay the sum of $1,868.35 for tax certificate #050006 as owner of property has paid the necessary sum for the redemption of said certificate for Block 94.6, Lot 50.
2006-126 Borough of Spotswood was informed by letter that they received $300,000 in State Funds from the Department of Transportation, Municipal Aid Program and Council authorize the appropriate officials to execute and submit the necessary application/agreement form SA-96 for drainage improvements to Wyoming Avenue.
2006-127 CFO authorized to release the balance of zoning escrow in the amount of $200.00 to property owners of Block 85.9, Lot 18 as variance was successfully granted.
2006-128 CFO authorized to refund the road opening bond of $1,000 for property known as Block 25, Lot 2.2 as inspection of road is in satisfactory condition.
2006-129 CFO authorized to release the balance of zoning escrow in the amount of $100.00 balance to property owners of Block 9.4, Lot 20 as variance was successfully granted.
2006-130A CFO authorized to release the balance of planning board escrow in the amount of $7,308.35 for property known as Block 107, Lots 21.02, 23.03 and 24 as all approvals were granted by the Planning Board.
