ORDINANCE - 2nd READING - PUBLIC HEARING

ORDINANCE 11-2007

AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING A SPECIAL EMERGENCY APPROPRIATION FOR THE PREPARATION AND UPDATING OF THE MASTER PLAN IN THE BOROUGH OF SPOTSWOOD, COUNTY OF MIDDLESEX, STATE OF NEW JERSEY, FOR USE OF THE BOROUGH OF SPOTSWOOD, NEW JERSEY.

RESOLUTIONS - UNDER CONSENT AGENDA

2007-125 Special Emergency appropriation made for the preparation and updating of the master plan of the Borough and revision of its land development ordinance in the total amount of $100,000.

2007-126 As a result of receipt and review of proposals and conducting interviews with companies that responded to the Planning Board, request for proposals for the purpose of a professional planner for the preparation of an updated master plan and revision of the borough's land development ordinance, Borough Council authorize the acceptance of a professional service contract with Heyer, Gruel and Associates for these purposes not to exceed $60,000.

2007-127 Borough Council authorize the appropriate officials of the Borough to execute a No Further Action and Covenant Not to Sue Determination for remediation of various underground storage tanks as detailed in the letter from the DEP dated August 3, 2007.

2007-128 Borough Council authorize the release of performance bond posted by Valentine Shikman developer of subdivision on Block 79, Lots 14 & 15, subject to posting of a two year maintenance bond in the amount of $13,143.87 and all outstanding fees paid to the engineer and Borough.

2007-129 Borough Council authorize the appropriate borough officials to release performance bond to Verizon Wireless except for the cash portion of $3,580.08 due to the fact of certain landscaping and plantings have died and waive the compliance of a maintenance bond posting due two years have elapsed since construction was completed.

2007-130 Borough Council authorize approval of engineering service contract and retainer payments for the year 2007/2008 with the firm of CME Associates.

2007-131 Chief of Police of the Borough of Spotswood has determined that the following individuals are eligible for the positions of school crossing guards and borough council authorize their appointments for nine months for the school year of 2007/2008.

2007-132 Borough Council hereby declares all emergency responders employed by the Borough to be Per Diem employees who shall be paid a rate of pay as determined by the Governing Body.
