CALL TO ORDER, SALUTE TO THE FLAG, SILENT PRAYER AND ROLL CALL
PUBLIC HEARING - CLEARWATER VILLAGE MOBILE HOME PARK LICENSE RENEWAL - DECEMBER 15, 2008
RES: 2008-199
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Clearwater Village, Inc. has submitted an application for the renewal of its Mobile Home Park License in accordance with Section 78-11.11 of the revised General Ordinances of the Borough of Spotswood as adopted 1969 and amended and supplemented April, 1981; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Attorney, Patrick J. Diegnan, Jr., the County Board of Health, the Borough of Spotswood Planning Board and the Building Inspector have reviewed the application with said Ordinance and have set forth no objection to its renewal; and
WHEREAS, there has been no change in ownership or interest in the property since the original license was issued, and there has been no change in the Mobile Home Park with respect to any matters set forth in the original license application of Clearwater Village, Inc. regarding matters submitted in support thereof; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Borough Council of the Borough of Spotswood, County of Middlesex, and State of New Jersey, that Clearwater Village, Inc. is hereby awarded a renewal of it Mobile Home Park License for the lands described as Block 1.01, Lot 1; Block 2, Lot 1; and Block 3, as described on the Borough of Spotswood Tax Map.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the awarding of this renewal license (for the year 2009) is granted subject to the condition that Clearwater Village, Inc. will continue to comply with all Borough Ordinances now in existence as they may be amended or supplemented or deleted within the calendar year of 2008/2009.

ORDINANCE - 2nd READING - PUBLIC HEARING - December 15, 2008
ORDINANCE 2008-1
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 2-5 OF THE
CODE OF THE BOROUGH OF SPOTSWOOD.
RESOLUTIONS - UNDER CONSENT AGENDA

2008-200: Final payment estimate #2 and final close out change request from the Borough Engineer for the project known as 2008 Water System Improvements, which was completed by Interstate Contracting and Excavating, LLC.
2008-201: Release of performance bond as recommended by CME Associates to Helene & Mark Schrager in connection with Minor Site Plan for property known as Block 1.85, Lots 4 & 5 and posting a 2-year maintenance bond with payment of all outstanding fees.
2008-202: Borough Council award contract to Pierce Manufacturing, Inc. in the amount of $608,952.00 for purchase of a New Triple Combination Fire Truck and authorize the appropriate officials to execute the contract on behalf of the Borough.
2008-203: Borough Council authorize amended professional services agreement with David Himelman, Esq. to defend the Borough in the matter of Borough of Spotswood vs. Giancola in a Civil Action Complaint at a fee of $110.00 per hour not to exceed $20,000.
2008-204: Borough Council approve the 2009 Council Meeting Schedule which includes changing the start time to 7:30 p.m.
2008-205: Borough Council authorize the execution of easement agreement in reference to property known as 20 Robert Street, Block 10.03, Lot 84.
2008-206: Appropriation transfers within the 2008 budget during the last two months of the year.
2008-207: Borough Council authorizes Heyer, Gruel & Associates to fulfill all elements of the Scope of Services as outlined in the Smart Growth Grant Proposal - Addendum and authorizes the appropriate officials to sign said addendum and any other documents in connection therewith.
2008-208: Mayor and Borough Council do hereby support the Main Street Stimulus Package, which supports federal priority spending for programs promoting economic recovery by investing in our local government.
