The Borough would like to extend our sincere appreciation to East Brunswick Rescue Squad, who continues to provide mutual aid assistance to Spotswood on weekends (Fridays, 6pm - Sundays, 6am). They will be responding from their headquarters on Summerhill Road. As previously reported, the mutual aid coverage is required due to a shortage of staff. The Borough has hired four (4) new EMTs and anticipates reassuming weekend coverage at the end of March. We also thank MONOC for the temporary use of their ambulance. The Borough has been advised that our ambulance repair, which ultimately required a new engine, should be ready within two (2) weeks.
