Fishing Derby
Spotswood Recreation hosts a Fishing Derby for town children each June,
normally on the 2nd Saturday of the month from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
Boys and girls ages five to twelve, are encouraged to come out
for a morning of fishing at DeVoe Lake.
Children must bring their own fishing equipment and register before they begin fishing. Registration is done at a table right next to
the Spotswood American Legion building in front of DeVoe Lake.
Prizes are awarded for each age group for various fishing categories
such as largest fish and most fish caught.
