Oprah Book Club
Most Oprah Book Club titles are available at the Spotswood Public Library, and are indicated with an orange 'O' sticker. Oprah Winfrey began the "first edition" of her book club in September 1996 with the selection of Jacquelyn Mitchard's The Deep End of the Ocean, a poignant story of motherhood and loss, and a deft exploration of the bonds of family.
In 2002 Oprah selected Toni Morrison's Sula as her final pick. From 2003 to 2005 Oprah focused on classic novels, but in September 2005 she announced her return to works by contemporary authors.
