Hours of Operation:
Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 4:00 pm (Office on Aging)
Monday - Friday 9:30 am - 4:00 pm (Senior Center)
The Office on Aging / Senior Center is a wheelchair-accessible facility offering a wide
variety of activities and services for our senior residents 55 years and older,
and their families.
Some services are offered to the Disabled.
We are a New Jersey A.D.R.C. (Aging and Disable Resource Connection) Center
and provide the following services:
- Transportation to various shopping centers and stores
- Food shopping for Senior & Disabled residents - Wheelchair accessible
- Local errands (banking, pharmacies, businesses in Spotswood)
- Local day trips
- Medical transportation (Senior & disabled residents) - Wheelchair accessible
- Health screenings and educational seminars
- Special events
- Exercise Classes: Yoga, Yoga Stress, Gold Zumba, Healthy Bones, Fit for Life, and Line Dancing
- Computer classes (Comcast internet service)
- Wii Bowling and other games
- Mah Jongg, Chess, Bingo, etc. (We have games for visually impaired)
- Low-vision reader (available to all residents)
- Links to community resources
Information & Assistance
With entitlements including but not limited to:
- PAAD (Pharmaceutical Assistance to the Aged and Disabled)
- Lifeline utility programs
- HEAP (Home Energy Assistance Program)
- Income tax preparation and PTR (Property Tax Rebate)
Referral to County and State Programs such as:
- MCMAP (Middlesex County Multi-Assistive Program), etc.
- COPSA (Comprehensive Services on Aging)
Safe Housing Grant Opportunities
- CDBG Housing repair and accessible modification
- S.H.I.P. Counseling for Senior & Disabled Residents with Medicare
