WHY & HOW: On above date and time police responded to a call for a suspicious vehicle on Janice Drive. Upon arrival, the defendants were found sitting in the vehicle. They were in possession of marijuana and paraphernalia which included 4 pipes, 2 bongs, a marijuana grinder and rolling papers. They were arrested and transported to headquarters where they were processed as per department policy. They were released with a Spotswood Municipal Court date for the above charges.

WHY & HOW: Police conducted a lawful motor vehicle stop on above date and time for a headlight violation. Upon stopping said vehicle, the driver, Anthony Landi, was found to be in possession of illegally obtained prescription drugs as well as a cut straw with white powdery residue. Further investigation revealed that Judith Spear, a passenger in the vehicle, also possessed illegally obtained prescription medicine and further sold pills to the driver. Both defendants were arrested and transported to headquarters. The male was released with pending court. The female was transported to Middlesex County Adult Corrections in lieu of $5000.00 bail.

WHY & HOW: On above date, police responded to a report of an unresponsive male in a vehicle on Sloan Road. Upon arrival, the defendant was found to be under the influence and behind the wheel. While investigating, police found hypodermic needles, a crack pipe, and paraphernalia used for preparing and packaging heroin. Subject was placed under arrest and charged with above charges. He was transported to Spotswood Police Headquarters where he was processed and released to EMS to be transported to the hospital.

WHY & HOW: On the above date and time, police were called in regards to an odor of burnt Marijuana coming from Building 3 of George Street Apartments. Upon arrival, officers found needles, Marijuana packaged for distribution, pills packaged for distribution, Cocaine, 95 Soboxon dosage units, and multiple drug paraphernalia. While attempting to place Ryan J. Montalto under arrest, he fought officers and resisted arrest. After being arrested, both males were transported to Spotswood Police Department and processed as per departmental policy.Bail was set to $5000.00 a piece. The males were then transported to Middlesex County Adult Correction Center in lieu of bail. Ryan J. Montalto was charged with Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Prescription Drugs, Possession of Needles, and Resisting Arrest. Brian Polono was charged with Distribution of Marijuana, Distribution of Schedule 1-4 CDS, Distribution of over 100 Dosage Units, and Distribution in a School Zone.

WHY & HOW: On the above date and time, a male and female reported to Police Headquarters in reference to a verbal altercation that took place on Herbert Avenue. The male subject advised the officers about belongings that were left at the residence, and requested that we retrieve his belongings. Upon discovery of the belongings, it was found that Marijuana, a scale, and baggies were inside the bag. Back at headquarters, the male claimed ownership of the bag containing Marijuana and paraphernalia. Following the arrest of the male, it was found that his girlfriend had multiple outstanding criminal and traffic warrants.
Jesse Rivera was charged with Possession of Marijuana, Distribution of Marijuana, and Drug Paraphernalia.

WHY & HOW: On the above date and time,police responded to an odor of Marijuana emanating from an apartment on George Street. Upon arrival, Joel DeJesus and Joshua Corres were found to be in possession of approximately 40 packages of heroin, illegally obtained prescription pills, Marijuana and paraphernalia. Nemeth and Lopez were found to be under the influence of CDS. All four were arrested and charged accordingly. Nemeth and Lopez were released with Spotswood court dates. DeJesus was transported to MCACC in default of $25000 bail. Corres was transported to MCACC in default of $10000 bail.
