PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS, presentation of this Proclamation represents a unique effort to give recognition to and show appreciation for the men and women who have served honorably in this nation's conflict in the Middle East; and
WHEREAS, America's " Wounded Warriors" have given the full measure of service, not only in active service overseas, but are daily making significant contributions to enrich community life; and
WHEREAS, Corpsman Michael Pocius was severely injured on July 27, 2006 in Al Anbar Providence of Ramadi, Iraq by an Improvised Explosive Devise and was awarded both a Purple Heart and a Navy Achievement Medal with Combat "V"; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that I, Barry H. Zagnit, Mayor of the Borough of Spotswood along with Borough Council and all its residents do hereby extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to Corpsman Michael Pocius and all Wounded Warriors, for the sacrifices they made on behalf of our country's safety.
