PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS, Jeffrey F. Drozd resides at 126 Willard Clark Circle in the Borough of Spotswood and he is a member of Boy Scout Troop 84; and

WHEREAS, Jeffrey has been dedicating himself to the goal of obtaining the Boy Scouts of America prestigious award known as the eagle Scout Award; and

WHEREAS, this award is the highest honor that can be bestowed on an individual by the Boy Scouts of America; and

WHEREAS, Jeffrey Drozd is to be commended for his project to improve the appearance and interior rooms of the Spotswood First Aid Building.  Under Jeff's leadership and with the help Troop 84 scouts, leaders, and other volunteers, the entrance foyer had new sheet rock walls were installed and painted, flooring was replaced with hardwood flooring, and ceiling tiles were replaced and cleaned, the outside of the building was scraped, sanded, and painted.  The building has a much fresher appearance and is more comfortable for those who work in the building around the clock; and

WHEREAS, Jeffrey Drozd, has earned the respect and admiration of the Boy Scouts throughout New Jersey for his sense of commitment, perseverance and willingness to strive for excellence; and

WHEREAS, Jeffrey Drozd, will be honored and receive his award at an Eagle Court of Honor recognition dinner on November 24, 2007;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Barry H. Zagnit, Mayor of the Borough of Spotswood, on behalf of the entire governing body, do commend Jeffrey Drozd on the significant occasion of achieving the rank of Eagle Scout. We wish him much luck and success in all his future endeavors. Further, I do hereby proclaim November 24, 2007 Jeffrey F. Drozd Day in the Borough of Spotswood in recognition of this noteworthy achievement.
