PROCLAMATION


    WHEREAS, Charles M. Pearsall resides at 50 John Street in the Borough of Spotswood, and he is a member of Boy Scout Troop 84; and
    WHEREAS, Charles has dedicated himself to the goal of obtaining the prestigious Boy Scouts of America award known as the Eagle Scout Award; and

    WHEREAS, this award is the highest honor that can be bestowed on an individual by the Boy Scouts of America; and

    WHEREAS, Charles Pearsall is to be commended for his project to improve the appearance of Spotswood Knights Of Columbus.  The project consisted of refurbishing the flagpole which was stripped, primed, painted, and new hardware, painting the exterior doors, foyer, plus new lumber and lights in the interior foyer and the installation of new PVC down spouts. In addition, he removed a dead tree and cleaned the grounds.  The project took 197.25 hours to complete.  The building and grounds has a much fresher appearance; and

    WHEREAS, Charles Pearsall has earned the respect and admiration of the Boy Scouts throughout New Jersey for his sense of commitment, perseverance and willingness to strive for excellence; and

    WHEREAS, Charles Pearsall will be honored and receive his award at an Eagle Court of Honor recognition dinner on February 22, 2009.

    NOW THEREFORE, I, Thomas W. Barlow, Mayor of the Borough of Spotswood, on behalf of the entire Governing Body, do commend Charles M. Pearsall on the significant occasion of achieving the rank of Eagle Scout. We wish him much luck and success in all his future endeavors. Further I proclaim February 26, 2009 Charles M. Pearsall Day in the Borough of Spotswood in recognition of this noteworthy achievement.
