Proclamation
WHEREAS, Gloria Kelley has dedicated over 38 years to Immaculate Conception Church and School; and
WHEREAS, Gloria began volunteering as an Administrative Assistant at Immaculate Conception School for twelve years, before becoming a full-time employee and served over 38 years, under six principals, as an Administrative Assistant; and
WHEREAS, you can always find Gloria at the door greeting each student as they arrive for school, and as the welcoming and comforting face for parents, students and staff. Besides her office duties, she can be found substituting for the teachers and always finding the best in each child; and
WHEREAS, Gloria also worked for the parish C.C.D. program for over 33 years, helping the program grow and improve each year. Her support and involvement in the religious formation of our parish children has been exemplary; and
WHEREAS, alumni are constantly bringing up fond memories of Mrs. Kelley, who is a frequent guest at many of their weddings, and the first person they look for when they visit the school, and her office is filled with pictures and notes from former students; and
WHEREAS, Gloria's essence was summed up by a little second grader, " The sun smiles when you walk by".
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that I Barry H. Zagnit, Mayor of Spotswood along with the Borough Council do hereby extend our sincere thanks and appreciation for Gloria Kelley's dedication to Immaculate Conception School and all its students and staff.
