Spotswood Borough Proclamations

PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS, ANDREW MAKOWSKI, started working for the Borough of Spotswood on July 1, 1971, as a member of the Department of Public Works; and.

WHEREAS, During Andy's thirty-five years of dedicated service he served in the positions of Sanitation Operator, Water/Sewer Operator, and Heavy Equipment Operator; and

WHEREAS, Andy was often called upon to work long hours, in the extremes of weather, to deal with many unusual circumstances and natural occurrences such as snow storms, water main breaks, power outages, and floods that interfered with the services that are provided to our residents; and

WHEREAS, in the performance of his duties, responsibilities, and his working relationships, Andy, repeatedly demonstrated the importance of getting the job done correctly the first time; and

WHEREAS, Andy Makowski, always strived to set a positive example and work ethic. He has won the friendship and respect of his co-workers and others with whom he has come into contact through the excellence of his work, his unfailing good nature, and his delightful and off-beat sense of humor; and

WHEREAS, Andy Makowski retired on April 30, 2007 and was honored by friends and co-workers, who are deeply appreciative of his many contributions through the years to our fine Borough.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, BARRY H. ZAGNIT, MAYOR of the Borough of Spotswood, and on the behalf of the Borough Council and all of our residents, extend our sincere appreciation and best wishes to ANDREW MAKOWSKI for his dedicated service to the Borough. Further, we wish him much health and happiness in his retirement and all of his future endeavors.
