Proclamation
WHEREAS, Immaculate Conception School was selected as a Diocese of Metuchen "Spotlight School;" and
WHEREAS, Immaculate Conception School, which was dedicated in 1960, exemplifies the quality in academic standards and the tradition of faith formation which historically has been the mission of Catholic schools; and
WHEREAS, Immaculate Conception School boasts the largest Pre-K program in the Diocese of Metuchen with almost 300 students enrolled; and
WHEREAS, the strong academic programs are enhanced by an advanced math offering, world language, and computer programs. Where budding artists, musicians and actors are nurtured in the outstanding art and music programs which display their talents in noteworthy, annual art shows and drama productions; and
WHEREAS, the Bulldog sports program is one of the few in the diocese that competes in the " Greater Middlesex County Grade School Conference".
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that I, Barry H. Zagnit, Mayor of the Borough of Spotswood along with the Borough Council do hereby extend our sincere congratulations to Immaculate Conception School for being chosen as a Diocese of Metuchen "Spotlight School."
