WHEREAS, today's teachers shape our future citizens through their guidance and education; and
WHEREAS, teachers fill many roles, as listeners, explorers, role models, motivators and mentors; and
WHEREAS, teachers spend countless hours outside the classroom preparing lessons, evaluating progress, counseling, coaching students and performing community service; and
WHEREAS, teachers continue to influence us long after our school days are only memories; and
WHEREAS, our community recognizes that its teachers are providing quality education to our children and;
WHEREAS, Leslie Malec, Marketing Spotswood High School, Jo-Ann Moyer, Special Education Memorial Middle School, Daniel Layton, Kindergarten Schoenly School, Nancy Torchiano, Grade 5 Appleby School have been elected by their peers as the 2012 School Teachers of the Year for the Spotswood Board of Education.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT PROCLAIMED, that I, Mayor Thomas W. Barlow, on behalf of the Borough Council and the residents of the Borough of Spotswood, do hereby extend our congratulations to these teachers for their outstanding achievements and wish them well in their future endeavors.
