RECYCLING
NEW FOR 2010:
Tissue, cereal, pizza, shoe and gift boxes should now be place with corrugated cardboard.
Newspaper should now be placed in the rectangular bin with mixed papers.
Spotswood's Recycling Drop-Off Center is located on Third Street/Boro Yard
off of Brunswick Avenue, and is open to Spotswood residents only.
ITEMS ACCEPTED:
newspapers
mixed paper in proper containers
cardboard flattened and tied
glass bottles
aluminum/steel/tin cans
motor oil in sealed containers
#1 PETE and #2 HDPT plastic containers - number will be in recycling logo on item
Hours of operation: Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 3:30 pm
Saturday - 8:00 am to 12 noon.
TEXTILES:
Clothing or fabric more than 1 foot square
may be deposited in drop-off boxes at the Recycling Center
or
at the Spotswood First Aid drop-off boxes.
METAL/APPLIANCES:
are collected curbside by appointment only
