The Youth Basketball program is open to Boys and Girls grades 4 thru 6.
This program runs from October through December,
on Monday nights from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
The first week or two is set up as a clinic instructing the players on
the basic fundamentals of the game (Passing, Dribbling and Shooting the basketball).
This allows coaches to assess the kids to create fair and balanced teams.
The amount of teams is determined by the number of children registered in the program.
Each child will receive a team color shirt with a number.
The program's goal is to allow all kids, regardless of skill level, to experience physical activity, learn team concepts, and to play basketball with the emphasis on having fun.
Our Rutgers certified coaches will teach participants the rules of the game.
They are instructed to insure that all participants have the same amount of playing time,
learn fundamentals, and to allow the children
to improve in a more relaxed and less competitive environment.
Registrations for this program are usually held in September.
