The Spotswood Recreation Department is a volunteer committee appointed by the Mayor to supervise a broad range of recreational opportunities within the Borough, including our town’s parks; athletic and other programs; and community events.  We strive to meet the needs and desires of our population as we fulfill our mission of “Reaching Every Citizen.”

Due to the uncertainty regarding the lifting of restrictions, the lead time required for certain activities, and the safe availability of facilities as a result of COVID-19, Spotswood REC will be canceling its summer activities and events, to include: Fishing Derby, S'Woodstock Summer Kickoff, Spotswood Chargers Football and Basketball Camps, Arts & Crafts Camp, and Tennis Camp.  These are a follow up to the cancellations of our Flag Football and T-Ball programs.  We deeply regret these cancellations but look forward to bringing these offerings back to you next year.

As per the Mayor's letter of May 1, 2020, and for the safety of the residents, all playgrounds and recreation areas in SPOTSWOOD remain CLOSED until further notice. Please do not use them as they are not sanitized.

Please stay well and see below for a social distancing activity for you and your family.  We will be adding more   in the next few weeks so check back for updates.
